Reviewing the Niyamas to help re-kindle a deep personal knowing and loving acceptance of ourselves to fuel us in our every day lives. We will immerse our selves into these five offerings lending a helpful map to more soulful living through personal intimacy helping us co-create our own course. By observing our attitudes towards ourselves, the Niyamas can take us on an inward journey to better help ourselves be balanced and secure enough help others and ultimately the universe with more joy, ease and fun. Once again, we will explore within a traditional Hatha Yoga practice, how our own individual friendship with our personal Yoga practice can awaken a deeper knowing of ourselves serving to influence our behavior towards others as we teach and live.
Kerry Fulford studied yoga at Satchidananda Ashram and is certified to teach all levels of asana, Pranayama, and meditation in Integral Hatha Yoga. An active teacher since 1995, Kerry has staffed other teacher training programs at Yogaville. She is also certified in the Yoga for the Special Child Program and spent four years apprenticing at a physical therapist office further learning how to apply Yoga as therapy for illness and injury. She is also certified in Thai Yoga Massage.
The owner of Athens Yoga Therapeutics Kerry offers Thai Yoga Massage, private Yoga sessions, and Yoga as therapy. For the past 30 years, Kerry has been actively studying and teaching earthskills, specializing in local edible and medicinal plants. She brings her love of nature into her classes along with a good dose of humility, humor and honor the path of yoga.
