Purpose of Training:
To become familiar with the three doshas that make up each individual…Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Learning how this knowledge will better aid in teaching and facilitating Yoga classes and yoga practices.
Topics to be Discussed:
*History of Ayurveda.
*Learning the qualities of each dosha (vata, pitta, kapha) and what proportion of each dosha that makes up our personal ‘constitution’
*Learning key self care practices that help us to be the best expressions of ourselves.
*Learning basic nutrition, and appropriate food choices to complement the doshas and our yoga practice
*Learning to implement asana practice to complement our yoga students needs.

Discovering the True You with Ayurveda
Workshops will include casual lectures and hands on practice as well as discussions. Each participant will leave with a clearer understanding of how to most appropriately care for self and in so doing know better how to care for and reach their future students.
Elise Faust has been a practicing yoga instructor for the past 20 years, specializing in alignment and breath/body connection. She is co-owner of Madison Family Chiropractors and has been a practicing Chiropractor for the past 22 years. 5 years ago she expanded her healing practice to include private counseling for people needing guidance and support in creating a healthy, whole lifestyle for themselves. Drawing on 600+hours of Ayurvedic training, Elise encourages patients to incorporate Ayurveda in their approach to health. To this end she guides people in nutrition, herbal use, essential oil use and a myriad of self-care practices. She is committed to helping people discover that true healing DOES come from within, and one must take ownership of their healing path for this to happen.
She is wife to her life partner Mark for 30 years, and mother to Taylor, 22, and Victoria, 28. She is an avid reader, and believes that as long as we are alive and have breath we are able to learn, expand and grow and heal.
